10 things we learned with social media
No theories and no digital marketing gurus: the maxims the accounts we manage left us with.

Setting aside the theories and the digital marketing gurus, we put together a series of maxims we have learned in this time with the accounts we manage.
1. Product photos add more than advertising ones
To see happy people and perfect photographs we have TV, magazines and the newspaper. On social media we want to see the now, the truth, the behind the scenes. A photo of a bottle on a grill at the right time adds more likes than a mega production where the target does not feel identified. Photo production for social media is necessary, but a production that generates empathy and that shows the product in a closer way.

2. User-generated content harvests likes for sure
If you as a user took the time to upload a photo of a brand, what better reward than for the brand to post you on its profile. Giving users a voice and thanking them is necessary (and also a very good strategy).

3. We are not a customer service center, we are the brand
Many times the inboxes of brands are full of messages that the CM or the advertising agency cannot answer. In that case the best thing is for it to be referred to the relevant area (number or email) so that they get a concrete answer and the message does not get lost among notifications.
4. Virality exists, but everything works with $$$
Just as not every ad wins awards, not every post goes viral. What is usually done is to select the posts that got the best response and boost them with paid media, taking segmentation and timing into account.
5. Gifs can save you from several “tight spots”
A picture is worth a thousand words and a gif saves your bacon. When you do not know what to reply, a gif can be the best solution to that problem.

6. Friends are counted on the fingers of one hand
If there is someone we should not listen to on social media it is Roberto Carlos: nobody wants to have a million friends if their engagement is low. It is better to have fewer Likes on the page and lots of reactions and comments on the posts, because at the end of the day what counts is the interaction with users.
7. Pay attention to what's going on outside
What could Game of Thrones have to do with a restaurant? Nothing, but when you make a connection like this people love you.

8. Long live brand ambassadors
If your brand has an iconic character, make the most of it. Michel Rolland is a leading figure in the wine industry and with a few gifs and several statements of his we have content guaranteed.

9. Keep calm and post a landscape
If there is something that generates an avalanche of likes it is landscapes. In this case it is worth having the photo be more “advertising-like”.

10. If you can't beat the trends, join them!
The key is to keep an eye on what is being used during the week and to use the resource in your favor.
