MANIJA AWARDS: Argency’s internal ideas contest

We are fanatics of good ideas and to prove it we set a day, a time, a place and a prize.

All of us who are inside Argency are fanatics of good ideas and to prove it we set a day, a time, a place and a prize.

During 2020 we saw each other little and nothing, and although the flame stayed alive through video calls and different activities like Secret Santa or birthday celebrations, when we came back we felt the need to catch up. And that is what we did.

We created the MANIJA AWARDS, an internal contest to tell our ideas, from the ones that make you blush when you say them to the ones that fill your chest with pride.

Every Friday we get together for breakfast or lunch and then a digital wheel starts spinning to draw the order of participation. The goal is for each person to tell three ideas that we categorize into different areas.

We had a month of testing and adjustments until in March we launched it officially, including 3 prizes for those who contributed the best ideas of the month. In March’s top 3 were:

1st Leandro Emmanuel Rodriguez.
2nd Fernando Rodriguez (no, he is not related to lean, just colleagues).
3rd Constanza Ansuini.

Between all of us we grade and vote on each other’s ideas (as if we were the most ruthless clients, the kind we do not have) and the winners of each month get significant prizes. The contest does not end there: at the end of the year the grand prize will be handed out, which will go to the person who has shared the best ideas during the year. Still, the real prize will be seeing the ideas made, though that is worth telling in another piece. Stay tuned for more details, maybe some Manija Awards will be open to the public ;).

Naming: The word before the brand

Naming is not choosing a name: it is imagining what a brand can become.
