Four sources of information to vote better
2019 is an election year and so much daily information complicates the task of being an informed citizen.

2019 is an election year and many Argentines are looking to be informed in order to vote consciously. However, the amount of information an average person receives per day is so high that the task of being an informed citizen gets complicated.
At Argency we have been researching to help you speed up your process of learning and deciding, which is why we recommend you consult the following publications:
1- Interbarómetro
Analysis of Argentine politics online. This report put together by Fundación CIGOB (Ciencias para Gobernar) shows what the main political trends are according to the interactions of Facebook and Twitter users with the topics placed on the agenda by traditional media.
What can be seen at first glance is that the topics, although they revolve around similar generalities, have different importance and land unevenly depending on the channel analyzed. For example, Twitter’s trending topics are not the same as those of the newspapers.
For marketing and advertising, this kind of work makes it possible to focus on our audiences’ attention or to take on specific topics in particular spaces. Also, if you work in political marketing, this report is a screen onto the audiences and a trigger for thinking up strategies that position the politician during the campaign.

2- Chequeado
This digital portal takes on analyzing and assigning a category (true, true but…, debatable, hasty, exaggerated, misleading, unsustainable, false) to political and social statements circulating on the content agenda.
It is a publication that collaborates with the person, the user or the client and their process of identifying true-false information or the greys in between. As far as advertising goes it can be an indicator of topics of interest, since many of the checks arise from users’ concerns. It also allows, for some people in a biased way, gauging the credibility of political candidates, something that is no small matter in Argentina’s reality.
3-Reverso
Under the coordination of Chequeado, AFP Factual, First Draft and Pop-Up Newsroom, more than 100 media outlets from every province in the country come together in Reverso, an unprecedented project to intensify the fight against disinformation with verifications that can be published simultaneously by all the allies. This project is an offshoot of the previous one; it deals specifically with political matters during election season.
4- Política directa
It is an App that offers the user news, polls, social media, management statistics and info segmented by politician and political party. This platform has been running since the 2015 elections and has more than 5 thousand downloads. Despite showing info from various sources there are users who complain about its bias. Still, there are others who highlight its benefits and place it as an essential tool for staying informed in this period.
As a curiosity we pick out one user’s doubt regarding the data the App stores about the reading they do and the platform’s need to geolocate the user in order to offer them news from their area.
